It is that time of year again when photographers look through their selects folders in a frenzy of self-exaltation all in an effort to find and showcase their best work from the past year of shooting.? The end result is a gallery that should hopefully get you a deserved pat on the back from your colleagues.? This is it.? After appearing ordinary for way too long, you?ve finally managed to stand out.? And if you find validation in the approval of others, then your best-of gallery should help you slay your insecurities.? Because, let?s face it, if you can?t make yourself look good by putting on display your cream-of-the-crop work, then maybe you have the salesmen?s chops of Willy Loman.

Yes, this is all about the shallow need to feel better about ourselves ? welcome to MY world !

And so, I present to all willing to have a look-see my photographic magnum opus from the year that was, 2015 :

Lorenzo Cain beats the tag by R.A. Dickey to score a run in Game 4 of the ALCS as home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt makes the safe call Josh Donaldson slides home past the outstretched glove of Yan Gomes as he tags up and scores a run on a sacrifice fly to the second baseman Jose Bautista caber tosses his Marucci lumber after hitting a tie-breaking three-run home run in Game 5 of the ALDS against the Texas Rangers after a contentious seventh inning Russell Martin tags out Tim Beckham to cut down a run at home plate Usually a maestro with the leather, here Ben Revere jumps but cannot squeeze a double hit by Russell Martin. A couple of days later, Revere would be traded from the Phillies to the Blue Jays Jose Bautista keeps an eye on a high-and-tight pitch as he gets out of the way Kevin Pillar dives but cannot get to a single hit by Ian Kinsler Delino DeShields slides across home plate to score a run ahead of the tag by Russell Martin to get things started in the first inning of one of the craziest baseball games ever played in Game 5 of the ALDS Kevin Pillar, one of the best fielders to ever suit up, gives it his all as he once again dives but comes up short going after an RBI double hit by Danny Valencia Chris Colabello does acrobatics to try to get around the tag of Matt Wieters as he is gunned down at home plate One of the oddest plays I?ve witnessed in baseball: Jonathan Villar goes after a pop up but runs into Jose Reyes at second base. The ball landed for an infield single by Jose Bautista, but interference could not be called against the baserunner, Reyes, who is rightfully on the bag when Villar ran into him Kevin Pillar makes an aggressive attempt going after a ball that lands in front of him going for a double for David DeJesus as the ball gets past Pillar leading to a run scoring on the play Jose Altuve and George Springer converge as a bloop single by Dioner Navarro lands between them Jose Bautista and Rene Rivera shield their eyes as they gaze upwards into the sun while trying to follow the path of Bautista?s foul ball Russell Martin jumps into the backstop in pursuit of a foul pop up but cannot get to it Manager John Gibbons reacts as he is ejected by home plate umpire C.B. Bucknor in the first inning to get an early start on his evening as Matt Wieters watches the exchange take place Alex Rodriguez shotguns sunflower seeds Ezequiel Carrera stretches out but can?t quite haul in a double hit by Erick Aybar Jason Kipnis advances safely to third base on a fielder?s choice as Josh Donaldson cannot hold on to the ball Ezequiel Carrera makes valiant effort as he traps a ball hit by Rougned Odor holding him to a single Chris Colabello is unable to catch a foul ball that goes into the stands as he winds up in the photographers? bay during Game 5 of the ALCS Kevin Kiermaier goes up to make a leaping catch against the wall Kendrys Morales dances around a tag that was never applied by Russell Martin to score a run in spite of the throw to the plate that beat him Jose Bautista jumps but can?t hold on to the ball as he closes in on the wall allowing an RBI double by Ryan Flaherty The champagne flies every which way in the clubhouse as the Blue Jays celebrate their ALDS series victory in Game 5 to advance to the ALCS and win the franchise?s first playoff series since 1993 Kyle Lowry and Mo Williams go to the floor as they battle for control of the ball DeMar DeRozan is fouled by Robin Lopez but should probably feel lucky that he wasn?t tackled Paul Pierce throws down a big dunk Kyle Lowry falls as he gets to a loose ball ahead of Goran Dragic Julius Randle battles to keep control of the ball as he is besieged by Cory Joseph and James Johnson Julian Edelman dives into the end zone eluding the outstretched Aaron Williams to score a touchdown. This, by the way, is my favorite shot of 2015 Odell Beckham Jr. reaches and manages to get the fingertips of his left hand on the ball but cannot snare it mere inches short of the end zone, which would have been a sure touchdown had he found a way to hold on Robert Turbin jumps over his own teammate, Jason Witten Marvin Jones makes an over-the-head catch as Stephon Gilmore tries to cover him LeSean McCoy hurdles over Kareem Jackson to extend this carry by a few more yards Tyrod Taylor cannot escape the mobile J.J. Watt Tom Brady leads his team onto the field for their Week 2 game at Ralph Wilson Stadium against the Bills P.A. Parenteau topples over Tuukka Rask as he tries to set up in front of the net Casey Bailey crashes into Carey Price with the help of Jacob de la Rose Believe it or not, there was no call on the play as Andrew MacWilliam is manhandled by Scottie Upshall as MacWilliam skates around his net with the puck James van Riemsdyk parks himself in front of goalie Petr Mrazek as the shot goes off the crossbar Daniel Winnik takes down Ben Chiarot as the two tangle Zach Sill battles for the puck with Josh Bailey who falls An up-close view of one of many saves made last season by Hart and Vezina Trophy winner Carey Price Chris Kreider has his shot blocked by the stick of Roman Polak James van Riemsdyk dumps Klas Dahlbeck to the ice and shows he has dominion over the fallen Dahlbeck Laura Zeng (USA) performs her rhythmic gymnastics routine in the individual all-around final and qualifications during the 2015 Pan Am Games at Toronto Coliseum Brazil forward Cristiane Rozeira heads the ball against Colombia defender Orianica Velasquez during the gold medal match in women?s soccer at the 2015 Pan Am Games held at Hamilton Pan Am Soccer Stadium Juan Turcios (ESA) takes down Pedro Castro (COL) in the men?s 81kg judo competition during the 2015 Pan Am Games at Mississauga Sports Centre Tiffany Foster (CAN) crashes on her attempted jump in the equestrian individual competition knocking down the hockey stick obstacles during the 2015 Pan Am Games at Caledon Pan Am Equestrian Park The Canadian women celebrate on the medal podium after winning the gold medal in the women?s quadruple sculls during the 2015 Pan Am Games at Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course in St. Catharines Mariana Silva (BRA) takes down Diana Velasco (COL) in the bronze medal match in the women?s 63kg judo competition during the 2015 Pan Am Games at Mississauga Sports Centre Toronto FC forward Sebastian Giovinco is tripped as he runs with the ball by San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Sanna Nyassi at BMO Field Dancers perform on stage during the opening ceremonies for the 2015 Pan Am Games at Pan Am Ceremonies Venue Jaqueline Antonia Ferreira (BRA) falls after dropping the weight in the women?s 75kg weightlifting competition during the 2015 Pan Am Games at Oshawa Sports Centre Fireworks light up the Toronto skyline to mark the conclusion of the Pan Am Games at the end of the closing ceremonies Fireworks shoot out of the CN Tower to mark the conclusion of the Pan Am Games at the end of the closing ceremonies
